How the member portal handles your personal data.

Who is responsible

The controller for the Your Missing Link member portal is Guimbang Josiane, an individual acting on their own initiative (not on behalf of any association or the parent programme). Contact: privacy@urmissinglink.net. Postal address: Franz-Mehring Str.5 17489 Greifswald, Germany.

What we collect and why

  • Application — name, email, country, nationality, city, profession, career level, field, organisation/university, your written answers, and whether you are connected to the parent programme. Basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in running a curated community. Used to decide on your application.
  • Account & profile — your login email, and the professional profile you build (including a photo). Basis: performance of the membership.
  • Consent & audit records — a timestamped record each time you accept a policy, and of decisions made about your account. Basis: our legal obligations and legitimate interest in accountability.
  • Anti-abuse — a Cloudflare Turnstile check on the application form, and short-lived IP-based rate-limit counters.

Processors

  • MongoDB Atlas — database (EU region).
  • AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2 — private file storage (photos, verification evidence).
  • Vercel — application hosting (EU region).
  • Resend — sending account emails (EU region).
  • Cloudflare — Turnstile anti-abuse check on the application form.

How long we keep data

Incomplete or abandoned registrations are scrubbed of identifying information after a short grace period. Retention periods for other data are being confirmed with a data-protection adviser and will be stated here.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and receive a portable copy. Email privacy@urmissinglink.net. You may also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority.
